WOM serves at the Thurman Brisben Shelter on a monthly basis, preparing meals which they serve to individuals and families who are homeless. In addition, WOM conducts give-aways of food and clothing to individuals and families three times a year. During our August give-away, we also distribute school supplies. Finally, WOM distributes food baskets to individuals and families at Thanksgiving, and operates an Angel Tree to serve individuals and families at Christmas. National -- Through our Gulf Coast Mission Team, Wilderness Community Church sends Volunteers in Mission Teams to Louisiana to assist in recovery efforts from the hurricanes that ravaged the Gulf Coast region in 2005. International -- Wilderness Community Church has a unique partnership with the Quechua Church of Peru, and regularly sends teams to Ayacucho, Peru in the Andes to work alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ who are affiliated with the Quechua Church. |
